| The ordinary but at the same time unusual
everyday life of seven German families in Africa. Namibia
poses different challenges to life than Germany: long
distances, desolate farms, you have to deal with everything
yourself. The closest supermarket is 200km away, the children
go to boarding school, you fight against bush fires and
drought; rhinos or an abondened leopard baby as pets are
as much part of daily life as adventurous safaris in the
bush. Farmers, vets, lodge owners and rangers grant unusual
insights into their lives, an eventful existence between
freedom and adventure, bright prospects and a tough struggle
for survival. |
