1952, Queen Elizabeth's coronation. The
world´s toughest rally across British East Africa
is launched - Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda. 6000 kilometres
of dirt track through rainforests and raging rivers -
a muddy battle leaving all but 7 of 92 competitors stranded
along the way - "Glorious Days".
But little is left of the glory and spirit of yesteryear
- today the international constructors' teams lead the
way. Local competitors are left with nothing but their
enthusiasm and the hope of finishing in the bottom placings. |
